The coffee is ready, a little snack is at hand, and the house feels warm and cozy. In the wee hours of Monday, I am ready for a live interview on Rick Steves’ Monday Night Travel. I am excited to talk about Toledo and share some insights.

For those unfamiliar, the Monday Night Travel series is a great way to explore new destinations from the comfort of your home. Every Monday, you can travel to different places across Europe and beyond. In my case, I enjoy to share my knowledge and experiences as a local, as a traveler and as a tour guide living in Spain for more than 25 years. It’s an opportunity to learn about Spanish art, history, food, and culture from España. As well as get some handy travel tips for your holidays. On top of that, there’s a live Q&A session where you can ask questions and interact with the hosts.

With Lisa Friend leading the session and Gabe Gunnick ensuring everything ran smoothly, we explored some of Toledo’s most intriguing highlights. We toured the awe-inspiring Toledo Cathedral, renowned as the most Gothic cathedral in Spain. We also touched on the city’s rich tradition of sword-making and the detailed craftsmanship of Damascene jewelry.

Special thanks to Cris for setting up the camera, lighting, and bandwidth—he made me feel like a YouTuber!

If you’re planning a trip to Spain, be sure to include Toledo in your travel plans.
